The term ”Orchitop” is modified from ”biotope”. The name shall express that orchids will grow in the Orchitop as they do in nature. Several years of research led to this unique construction and is protected by patents. The Orchitop replaces the pot-walls by poles.

For the first time, an orchid cultivating pot has been developed for residential use,
which both eliminates mistakes in watering and optimizes growth of the plants.
The Orchitop is suitable for growing epiphytic orchids such as Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, multi-species hybrids, as well as terrestrial growing orchids e.g. the lady’s-slipper (Paphiopedilum).
With help of the pole construction, a superb air ventilation of the roots is guaranteed and over-pouring, which is the most common mistake in growing orchids, is virtually impossible. Holes in the base of the Orchitop lets excessive water drain. You can choose between three methods of watering. In addition, all roots are able to grow freely – Orchitop, “Freedom for the roots.”
The Orchitop is open all-round, therefore, orchids can be removed very easily. As orchids react quite good to the micro climate within an Orchitop you can repot all around the year when the place of the orchid will not changed.
Your orchids will grow opulant and bloom beautifully. You should not be satisfied with less.

It needs in average 5 years until a orchid flowers and can be sold in shops and garden centers. That means a lot of energy is needed (water, fertilizer, heating energy, …). Although this is actually not represented in price of an orchid a long lifespan is the best tribute to environment protection and Orchitop can make a contribution to this. In case it needs to be replaced the single-origin polycarbonate can easily be recycled. And we selected all other products in our shop by environment-friendly criteria too.
