WATERING WITH ORCHITOP – IT´S SIMPLE!

Both, keeping a rest period (temperature, moisture) and watering is the biggest challenge in successfully cultivating orchids on a windowsill. Orchitop has especially been developed to keep watering as simple as possible, thus mistakes should be avoided.

POUR IN WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR ORCHIDS

With the Orchitop culture system you are flexible, because there are three different irrigation methods available

  • Watering from below via coaster
  • Watering from above
  • Watering by Immersion

This allows you to individually select the irrigation method that is optimal for you and your plants (crop status, vegetation phase), in order to ensure optimal crop success.

In addition to choosing the optimal watering method, determining the right watering time is just as important for good growth and rich flowering. Here, too, you have several options with the Orchitop to quickly and easily determine the correct watering time:

  • via weight of Orchitop
  • via color of mix

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

  • If possible, water in the morning.
  • Always pour water only at room temperature.
  • Make sure that the above-ground parts of the plant are completely dry again when night falls.

This information applies primarily to organic substrates based on bark such as the Seramis special substrate for orchids or the mixture of Kiwi Orchid Bark with coarse clay granules.
